An Esports Gamer Volunteer Participant for the NRL Esports Premiership (NREP) plays competitively, maintains high sportsmanship, and expands rugby league into the digital age. Volunteers represent official NRL clubs or expansion bids (such as Adelaide) in a club-aligned, weekly broadcast-ready national esports league.
Key Responsibilities

- Competitive Match Play: Train regularly and compete in scheduled NREP weekly fixtures mirroring the real NRL draw.
- Match Performance: Compete in a best-of-3 format per round using licensed Rugby League video games (such as Rugby League Live 4 or the latest title).
- Rules & Code Compliance: Abide strictly by the NREP competition bylaws and maintain full knowledge of digital rugby league laws and game mechanics.
- Brand & Club Representation: Act as a positive digital ambassador for your aligned NRL club or expansion team.
- Media & Digital Engagement: Participate in central league broadcasts, pre-match or post-match interviews, and network promotional activities.
- Community Sportsmanship: Foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere, supporting teammates while respecting opponents, match administrators, and viewers.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Gaming Proficiency: High-level skill and competitive experience in current licensed rugby league simulation video games.
- Rugby League Knowledge: A strong understanding of rugby league rules, tactical setups, and standard gameplay logic.
- Reliable Connection & Setup: Access to a stable, high-speed internet connection and the necessary hardware (Console/PC) required to connect cleanly to the central league infrastructure.
- Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and handle media spotlights effectively.
- Availability: Commitment to participate in the weekly round-robin match fixtures and subsequent finals as outlined by the competition director.

- Central Production: The league handles all match production, commentary, and broadcasting centrally through official network streams.
